These photographs and those that will follow are placed by request of CNN should I have material to add. The snow fell during the night of 11 and 12 February 2011. These shots were taken after I woke up and realised what has happened. It was an awesome scene to see the snow so deep.
I was standing on my balcony and saw all the people shoveling snow. It was only when I started to walk around with my dog, Tiger, a small Shih Tzu, that I saw that the cars were hidden in the snow. I am still wondering how many cars were damaged by the graders ploughing the snow. In some instances it was not possible to see where cars were or if it was just a heap of snow.
Please read this report with the others I have posted before.
These photographs were taken from my apartment block. The people in my area just started to shovel the snow. They have used all kinds of machines and shovels they could find.
People in Korea are a real community. Everybody worked together to get the area clean of snow. That is the great thing about Korea, everything is a community effort.
Friendship in Korea means that I have an obligation towards you if I am your friend, and also if we share the same community. In Africa we call it Ubuntu.
