New law regulates tethering of dogs
(By Steve Lyttle, slyttle@charlotteobserver.com) A dog-tethering law that goes into effect Tuesday in Charlotte puts restrictions on how animals can be restrained and regulates the obstacles that might cause their chains or lines to become tangled.But the law also will have guidelines on the way pet owners collar their dogs, and it even will affect the types of outdoor kennels used.
