NE Charlotte fire damages house
(By Steve Lyttle, slyttle@charlotteobserver.com) A family of five and their pet dog escaped safely Thursday evening from a blaze at their home in northeast Charlotte, fire officials say.

The two-alarm fire was reported about 9:10 p.m. at a single-story house in the 6400 block of Grove Park Boulevard, off Robinson Church Road. Two adults, three children and their dog lived there.

April Fool's: Let's be careful out there
