Dismissal sought in Mead murder trial
(By Shane Ryan, sryan@charlotteobserver.com) Michael Mead's attorneys have asked a judge to dismiss a murder charge against their client based on the unreported work of a dog named Titan.Mead, charged with murder, rape and arson in the July 2008 death of 31-year-old Lucy Johnson, is on trial in Mecklenburg County. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
